German 113:  Intensive Intermediate German I
Session I (June 22-July 11) 4 credits

Intensive Intermediate German I .
This course is for participants who have completed the equivalent of one year of college German. It is a comprehensive third semester course. You will be working on all four skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. By the end of this course you will have acquired the essential skills in listening to, speaking, reading and writing German. You should be able to understand German that is spoken at moderate conversational speed and that deals with everyday topics and be able to engage in simple conversations with speakers of German in everyday situations.  You should be prepared to read non-technical German of moderate difficulty on various aspects of German culture and you should be able to write simple sentences correctly on the topics presented in the text.
