German 114:  Intensive Intermediate German II
Session II (July 12-July 31) 4 credits

Intensive Intermediate German II .
This course is designed for participants who have completed the equivalent of three semesters of college German and is the continuation of German Summer School course GER 113. By the end of this course you will have acquired the essential skills in listening to, speaking, reading and writing German. You should be able to understand German that is spoken at moderate conversational speed and that deals with everyday topics and be able to engage in simple conversations with speakers of German in everyday situations.  You should be prepared to read non-technical German of moderate difficulty on various aspects of German culture and you should be able to write at the paragraph level.
