Yvonne Henze


Yvonne A. Henze (BA equiv. Technische Universität Braunschweig; MA State University Albany, New York) has taught German as a Foreign Language at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, has been a DAAD-Lektor in Business German at Aston University Birmingham, UK, for 5 years and is now working at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen where she is responsible for the design, teaching and evaluation of Intercultural Competence Trainings. Currently she is doing her doctoral thesis on Intercultural training for the overseas personnel of German Multinationals. Yvonne has been a faculty member of the Deutsche Sommerschule am Atlantik since 1999 and cannot wait to come back to this great place, even if that means to miss some games of the Braunschweig Lions American Football team, of which she is a passionate fan!

The German Summer School of the Atlantic (Die Deutsche Sommerschule am Atlantik - DSSA) provides intensive German language instruction at all proficiency levels.  Designed with students, teachers, and professionals in mind, the German Summer School offers fully accredited courses in German language, culture and literature in a German-only environment with extensive extracurricular programs.  We can accommodate special courses for engineering and business students, faculty and professionals through a collaboration with the International Engineering Program at the University of Rhode Island.  The German Summer School is located near Rhode Island's beach resorts, Newport, and historic Providence.
