Alfred Schler

Alfred Schler is excited about starting his appointment at the "Deutsche Sommerschule am Atlantik 2008." He holds a B.A. equivalent (2005) from the University of Vienna (Austria) where he studied German, French, and Education. In December 2007, Alfred graduated with a Master's degree in German Studies from the University of Connecticut where he also taught regular as well as intensive elementary and intermediate German classes from 2006-2007. Alfred has been teaching German as a foreign language in Germany, Austria and the US for the last five years. Besides Second Language Acquisition and Foreign Language Teaching, his research interests include Intercultural Communication. Since Alfred truly enjoys language instruction, he is always happy to work on various levels with new sets of learners in different settings.
