Resources
Most
important of the resources available to you are the human resources.
Since instructors, assistants and participants live together,
learners have easy access to staff members and get instant feedback
on any questions they might have. It is the availability of the
instructors outside the classroom that sets this immersion program
apart from traditional classroom-only instruction.
The living room of the home of the Sommerschule includes a reading area with current German magazines, including STERN, Focus and Wirtschaftswoche, and a small reference library. The classroom building for Modern Languages, Independence Hall, is across the street from the Sommerschule and features a modern language learning resource center and a state-of-the art screening room.
The Sommerschule has an extensive collection of German films. In addition to the regular film screenings, participants can check out films, magazines and books.
