Kathleen Maher (M.A., University of Arizona)
is currently
Assistant Director for Outreach and Administration of the
International Engineering Program. She joins us from the
University of Iowa, where she was a Study Abroad Adviser in the
Office for Study Abroad as well as the Administrative
Coordinator of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC)
Study Abroad Programs. Prior to that she lived in Hermosillo,
Sonora, Mexico, where she taught English and social sciences at
the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de
Monterrey (ITESM) – Campus Sonora Norte.
As an undergraduate history major at Siena
College (in Loudonville, New York), Ms. Maher studied abroad in Madrid,
Spain. She obtained a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the
University of Arizona in 1995. She is an active member of NAFSA: Association
of International Educators.
