Disability services and academic accommodations If you have a documented disability and wish to discuss academic accommodations, please contact your instructor within the first 2 weeks of class to discuss the possibilities and/or helpful learning strategies. For further assistance, contact the staff at Disabilities Services, 330 Memorial Union, 874-2098.
Tutors The Academic Enhancement Center (4th floor of Roosevelt, www.uri.edu/aec) has many very talented (and very nice) Spanish tutors that can help you with areas of difficulty, or just speak with you in Spanish for extra practice. You can go for help during walk-in hours, or you can book an appointment online.
Language Lab (LLRC) The Learning Language Resource Center (Swan 301) is open to students of foreign language to use their equipment and resources for their language studies. Please check their schedule before stopping by, http://www.uri.edu/artsci/langlab/index.html
Study skills www.uark.edu/depts/flaninfo/studentsupportvideos.html
Language learning experts made these short videos to help students like you learn more about how to effectively learn a language and how to increase your success in a total immersion language class. As of January 2006, there are videos on reading, writing, speaking and participating in class. The files are very large, so be patient - it's definitely worth the wait!
