Do I Have To Join The Army To Take ROTC Classes?
No!
Students can take two one credit seminars (MSC 101, and MSC 102) as electives without making any commitment to the Army or ROTC. In fact, freshmen and sophomores may enroll in ROTC without obligating themselves to the Army. The only ways a student can contract into the Army is if he or she accepts an Army ROTC scholarship or they enter their third year of ROTC (the advanced course).
