Bio
JANE MURRAY plays principal oboe and English horn in several New England area orchestras including the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Litchfield County Choral Union and Festival Ballet Providence. She has premiered many new works for English horn and was the only English hornist to be selected as a finalist in the Alliance Competition for Solo Instrumentalists.

She has appeared as soloist with the Ocean State Chamber Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic and in concerts with the Island Chamber Orchestra. She has performed at the Aspen, Bach Aria and Norfolk Music festivals. Ms. Murray was the featured oboist at the Newport Music festival from 1993-2003 and at David Kim's Kingston Chamber Music festival in 1995 and 2008.

Ms. Murray is oboist and founding director of the Northeast Chamber Ensemble and served as artistic director of the Northeast Quintet Camp. In addition to teaching oboe, she coordinates the chamber music program and the Community Music Program at URI.
