AUDREY BERGER CARDANY's music teaching experiences include general music for grades K-8 in the public schools of Montana, Nevada, and Rhode Island, and courses in music education at the University of Nevada, Reno, Arizona State University and Mesa Community College. She developed music programs for local preschools in the Phoenix metropolitan area and co-created "Musical Play" a preschool and parent program offered through the Arizona State University School of Music.
Dr. Cardany is an active clinician with workshop presentations at local, state, and national conferences including The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and The National Association for Music Education (MENC). Topics include teaching music in early childhood, music for elementary grade children, music and movement, and music and literacy. Dr. Cardany is a contributing author for Silver-Burdett's 2005 K-8 general music textbook series "Making Music" and "Making Music with Technology." She holds both Orff-Schulwerk and Kodály certification, and her work is published in the Journal of Research in Music Education and The Mountain Lake Reader.
