Cancellations

Lessons may not be cancelled except in unavoidable circumstances.

Teachers will be unable to make up any more than TWO lessons per semester when 24 hour notice has been received.

If you must cancel a lesson, please call the teacher at their home or cell phone no later than the day before the lesson.

If you cannot attend a lesson and do not give 24 hour notice, that lesson will not be made up.

It is impossible to contact student teachers during their school day, so please do not rely on the office staff to notify them of late cancellations. We will post a note as a courtesy if we are in the office, but that will not be considered sufficient notice to warrant a make -up lesson.

Make sure to obtain the teacher’s home/cell phone number(s) and e-mail address immediately to avoid problems. Please make sure the teacher knows the best way to reach you. Any lesson missed by the teacher will be made up.

If you are late for a lesson, the teacher will be expected to remain at the arranged location for the entire length of time so that the student may still have part of a lesson, if possible.

The teachers will be paid for any lesson where a student does not show up, or when sufficient notice of cancellation is not given.
