URI Summer String Week 2006

The URI Preparatory Program will hold the fourth annual summer string week, for students who
play violin,
viola, cello and bass and will be entering grades 3 through 9 in the
fall. Held in the Fine Arts Center on URIÕs Kingston campus, the program will run from 8am -noon
for 4 days.
Each day will include large ensemble rehearsals, chamber music, and
sessions in music theory and string techniques.
Guest artists will include RI Philharmonic cellist Martha Kiefer and bow maker Carlos Romero.

The week will finish with a performance for family and friends on Thursday, June
29th at 10am.
