1. It is time to get connected. Get yourself a computer disc and your computer ID for the next class. Also be sure to have Eudora (E-mail software) installed on your disc. 2. You are to compose a resume, one which you would consider giving to someone in a job search / interview. There are only two restrictions: it should be no longer than one page and you will need two copies, one with an alias which you will pass in to me and a second which you will keep. I do not want to know who you are when you turn in your resumes and when I am reviewing them. As you write your resume keep in mind the fact that you are advertising yourself&emdash;and this is not a time to be modest. You must get your foot in the door. If you are unhappy with what you have 'produced', or with what you have to 'sell' at this time in your life, then you have the remainder of your stay at URI to improve upon it, to create a program of studies that will move you closer to your ultimate goal. I suggest that you attempt to beef up your resume by getting involved with outside activities, jobs, and classes and by working on some of the skills that will be in demand in the upcoming years when you will be entering the job market. If you have no clue about resume writing or if you are looking for some help with getting your resume ready for prime time, then get yourself quickly to career services, the reference section of the library, or try checking out a resume guide.
