William Bartels is Lecturer in Philosophy and Religious Studies.
He received his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Rice
University, and has been teaching at URI since 1988.
His areas of focus are world religions, ethics, and
religious epistemology.
He regularly teaches RLS 111, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, RLS 131,
Asian Philosophy and Religion, PHL 103, Introduction to
Philosophy; PHL 101, Critical Thinking, and, occasionally,
courses in Ethics.
