Following each class meeting, study questions on the material covered and other information will be made available on the course web page. Follow the links provided below. Additional links may be established as the semester progresses. Barring a server problem, a computer crash, or another condition beyond your instructor's control, updates will be posted by noon of the day following a class meeting at the latest; usually, they will be made available sooner. The primary source materials for the course are the Bible and the Koran. Electronic versions of these documents can be accessed through the following links: (1) Bible; (2) Koran. Both links connect you to off-campus sites.

Textbook Order Information: This link brings you to a page with instructions for ordering the textbook. If you purchased the book in response to the e-mail that was sent during the semester break, you can, of course, ignore the Textbook Order Information page.

Textbook Corrections: This link brings you to a page with corrections/additions to the old version of the textbook.

Study Questions (most recent update posted for 4/26/12): This link brings you to a page with study questions on the course material. Questions will be posted following each class meeting. Midterm Exam Questions: This link brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the midterm exam. The "Next Quiz" link brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the next quiz. The "Most Recent Posting" link brings you to the questions posted with the most recent update. Final Exam Questions: This link, to be activated after the midterm exam, brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the final exam.  The "Study Rules" page tells you how to use the study questions and how not to use them. Read that page carefully--and heed it!

Reading Assignments (most recent update posted for 4/26/12): This link, to be updated following each class meeting, tells you what textbook segments are to be read. The "Most Recent Posting" link brings you to the reading assignment of the last class.

Extra-credit Questions: This link brings you to a page with the study questions concerning pp. 1-10 of the text (the "Preliminary Stuff" chapter), assigned for "self-study." One of the 17 questions on that page will be selected as an extra-credit question for the midterm exam.

Absence Make-up Work Cover Sheet: Must be used for the submission of the make-up work required for absences for which there is a legitimate reason.

Tidbits Page: This page informs you whether unannounced quizzes and attendance checks took place during a given class meeting. It also will tell you about class averages for quiz and exam grades.

Syllabus: This link brings you to the course syllabus. Knowing and following the rules stated in that document is essential for your survival in this course. Assignment to be done by the third class meeting: Careful review of the syllabus.

Attendance Rules: Vital for you to observe if you wish to avoid a point loss for absences for which there is a legitimate reason (a point loss for unjustified absences is unavoidable). A careful review of the attendance rules is to be done by the beginning of the third class meeting.
