Following each class meeting, study questions on the material covered and other information will be made available on the course web page. Follow the links provided below. Additional links may be established as the semester progresses. The primary source materials for the course are the Bible and the Koran. Electronic versions of these documents can be accessed through the following links: (1) Bible; (2) Koran. Both links connect you to off-campus sites.

Textbook Order Information: This link brings you to a page with instructions for ordering the textbook. If you purchased the book in response to the e-mail that was sent during the summer, you can, of course, ignore the Textbook Order Information page.

Study Questions (most recent update posted for 12/7/11): This link brings you to a page with study questions on the course material. Questions will be posted following each class meeting. Midterm Exam Questions: This link brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the midterm exam. The "Next Quiz" link brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the next quiz. The "Most Recent Posting" link brings you to the questions posted with the most recent update. Final Exam Questions: This link, to be activated later in the semester, brings you to the beginning of the questions for which you will be responsible at the final exam. The "Study Rules" page tells you how to use the study questions and how not to use them. Read that page carefully--and heed it!

Extra-credit Questions: This link brings you to a page with study questions on pp. 1-10 of the text (the "Preliminary Stuff" chapter), assigned for "self-study." One of the 17 questions on that page will be selected as an extra-credit question for the midterm exam; one question will be selected as extra-credit question for the final exam.

Absence Make-up Work Cover Sheet: Must be used for the submission of the make-up work required for absences for which there is a legitimate reason.

Tidbits and Progress Page: This link brings you to a page informing you what material was covered during individual class meetings. The information is provided in terms of textbook pages covered. The page also clarifies what you will be responsible for at the next quiz and where the material for the next exam begins. It also informs you whether unannounced quizzes and attendance checks took place and about quiz and exam averages.

Syllabus: Clicking this link brings you to the course syllabus. Knowing and following the rules stated in that document is essential for your survival in this course. Assignment to be done by the second class meeting: Careful review of the syllabus.

Attendance Rules: Vital for you to observe if you wish to avoid a point loss for absences due to legitimate reasons (a point loss for unjustified absences is unavoidable). A careful review of the attendance rules is to be done by the beginning of the second class meeting.
