Certificate Program for Alcohol and Drug Counseling

On completion of the following courses, you can obtain a certificate signifying that you have passed the Certificate Program for Counselors of Alcohol Troubled People and Other Drug Users at URI's Feinstein College of Continuing Education.

  • PSY 254, Behavior Problems and Personality Disorders
  • PSY 460, The Substance Troubled Person
  • PSY 465, Introduction to Crisis Intervention
  • PSY 436 or BMS 436, Psychotropic Drugs and Therapy
  • HDF 450, Introduction to Counseling
For those interested in pursuing RI certification, PSY 255, Health Psychology, is also recommended.
