Psi Chi induction ceremonies take place at the end of both the fall and spring semesters. If accepted into Psi Chi, you will be invited to bring your family and friends to this event. We usually have a guest speaker who discusses some interesting topic in psychology and then the Psi Chi student members conduct the formal Psi Chi induction ceremony. Refreshments are served following the ceremony.
During our ceremony, parents and friends watch as each new student member goes to the front of the room to be welcomed into Psi Chi by the U.R.I. Chapter officers.
Here are the Psi Chi members who were inducted during our Fall 1999 Psi Chi induction ceremony...
Professor Mark Wood (far left in photo above) was our invited speaker for this induction ceremony. His topic was "Drinking at URI: A 'Party School' in Recovery."
