Congratulations to Dr. Susan Brady!

susan_bradyDr. Susan Brady is one of two recipients of the 2009 Samuel Torrey Orton Award from the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). This award constitutes the organization's highest honor and is given to a person or persons who have: a) Made a vital contribution of the scientific understanding of dyslexia, b) Significantly enhanced and advanced capacity to successfully intervene and assist people with dyslexia, or c) Expanded national and international awareness of dyslexia. The award was presented to Dr. Brady and the other awardee (Dr. Hollis Scarborough) on November 12th at the 2009 Conference for IDA in Orlando, Florida. She and Dr. Scarborough then jointly delivered the June Lyday Memorial Lecture to present their work to a wide-ranging audience that will include researchers, educators, other professionals and individuals who have dyslexia and their families.
