The following is designed to assist faculty who serve as academic advisors for undergraduate psychology majors.  If you have additional materials to share with colleagues, then feel free to provide them.

to academic advising in the U.R.I. Psychology Department

Furthermore, the links on the left of this webpage provide additional information relevant to undergraduate psychology advising.  For instance, you can click on "Academic Requirements for the Major" in order to review the requirements for students to transfer from University College into the Psychology Department, as well as examine an "easy-to-read" chart of the undergraduate psychology major requirements.

We also have a new worksheet to assist faculty as they review undergraduate students' transcripts to determine the courses/credits required for graduation.

Be sure to recommend that your students attend the weekly undergraduate psychology career workshops scheduled each fall semester.  Topics typically include School Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical and Counseling Psychology, Applying for Graduate School, and How to Take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).  Call the Psychology Department Office (874-2193) for details.

Professor David Faust discusses careers in Forensic Psychology.
