David T. HowardDavid is an Associate Professor of costume design at the University of Rhode Island and a Resident Designer at The GAMM Theatre in Pawtucket. At URI, David has designed over 24 productions including: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Flea in Her Ear, OKLAHOMA!, Pride and Prejudice, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Urinetown, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and others.
At The Gamm he has designed costumes and/or scenery for 26 productions including: Rock and Roll, 4:48 Psychosis, Romeo and Juliet, Radio Free Emerson, The SantaLand Diaries & Season's Greetings, La Bete, Top Girls, Twelfth Night, The Beard of Avon (costume & Minstrel/Lucy), Oleanna (set/costume), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Aunt Dan and Lemon (set), The Crucible (set/costume), and Henry V. Other local design credits include The Secret Garden, Jekyll and Hyde, Anything Goes, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dames at Sea, The King and I and My One and Only at Theatre-By-The-Sea; and A Bright Room Called Day at the Ensemble Theatre.
