Fees and Application
Process
- The program fee of $1,780
includes all URI tuition charges, accommodations in the residence
halls, fares and admission costs while on program-scheduled trips,
special events and the opening and closing banquets. For a 4-bedroom
flat on the University of Bath campus, if available, there is an
additional charge. The fee does not include: air and ground
transportation to and from Bath at the beginning and end of the
program, textbooks, personal needs, meals nor individual travel or
other activities outside the established program schedule. Each
person should consequently budget additional money for these
expenses. Traveller's checks are accepted throughout Britain, and
each participant should carry at least one major credit card for
budget-breaking purchases or for securing cash advances.
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 must
accompany the application form ($200 for couples). The application
deadline is March 15, 1998. Applications received after this date
will be accepted on a space available basis. Those requesting special
accommodations for the disabled must apply by February 1, 1998.
Because space is limited applicants are accepted on a first-come
first-serve basis. The balance of the fee is payable in full by May
15, 1998, and cannot be thereafter refunded (except with the
permission of the URI Director of Special Programs). However, if for
any reason the program is cancelled, all money, including the
deposit, will be refunded.
The University of Rhode Island reserves the
right to increase the fee if inflation or changes in monetary
exchange rates warrant.
