Saturday, July 11
Participants arrive at the University of
Bath, met by faculty. Time for unpacking, settling in and
overcoming jet-lag. Evening: informal get-together for the
group.
Sunday, July 12
Assemble for walking tour of the ancient
City of Bath, visit the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and other sites.
Lunch in traditional English pub.
Monday, July 13
Morning class meeting. Afternoon free for
banking, laundry, personal needs.
Tuesday, July 14
Morning and afternoon classes.
Wednesday, July 15
Early morning departure for Coach Tour to
King Arthur Country. Travel to Glastonbury and to the city of
Wells. Return to Bath in the evening.
Thursday, July 16
Morning and afternoon classes.
Friday, July 17
Morning classes. Afternoon free.
Saturday - Sunday, July 18 -
19
Free weekend. Optional trips. Participants
may wish to do some travelling on their own by local bus, or by
renting a car and exploring the south of England.
Monday, July 20
Morning and afternoon classes.
Tuesday, July 21
Morning and afternoon classes.
Wednesday, July 22
Early morning departure for Coach Tour to
Austen Country. Travel to Avebury, Stonehenge, Amesbury and
Lacock. Return to Bath in the late afternoon.
Thursday, July 23
Morning and afternoon classes.
Friday &endash; Monday, July 24 &endash;
27
Free long weekend. Recommended Optional
trip to London. Some may wish to travel on their own to the nearby
picturesque Cotswold villages, or to Wales, Scotland or the
continent.
Tuesday, July 28
Early morning departure for Coach Tour to
Wordsworth Country. Travel to Chepstow and Tintern, in South
Wales. Return to Bath in the evening.
Wednesday, July 29
Morning and afternoon classes.
Thursday, July 30
Early morning departure for Coach Tour to
Hardy Country. Travel to Dorset. Visit Stourhead. Return to Bath
in the evening.
Friday, July 31
Morning and afternoon classes.
Saturday &endash; Sunday, August 1
&endash; 2
Free weekend. Another opportunity for
Optional Trips. Some may want to visit Cornwall and Land's
End.
Monday, August 3
Morning and afternoon classes.
Tuesday, August 4
Early morning departure for Coach Tour to
Trollope Country. Travel to Winchester, St. Cross, and Longleat
House. Return to Bath in the evening.
Wednesday, August 5
Morning classes. Wrap-up discussions.
Afternoon free for shopping, packing, etc.
