The 2008 College of Arts & Sciences Film Festival will announce winners, present awards, and select the Fred Joyal Best of Festival Award on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 7:30 p.m.
The 8 Categories for Visualizations 2008 are:
Animation, Experimental, Documentary, News Segment; Commercial/PSA; Narrative/Open; Critical Essay and Film Treatment.
All entries and completed Entry Forms must be submitted to the official collection point on the second floor lobby of Chafee on April 1st and 2nd. Entries will be accepted on April 1st, 12 noon to 4 p.m., and April 2nd, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Please refer to Category Guidelines for specific regulations, including time limits for entries.

All winners will receive two-day passes to the RI international Film Forum, valued at $75.
Visualizations 2008 is sponsored by a major grant from Fred Joyal '79.

The Critical Essay Awards and the Dean’s Choice Awards are sponsored by the Richard Beaupre Hope & Heritage Fund.

Passes and scholarships to the Rhode Island International Film Festival are provided by George Marshall ‘76, Executive Director of the RIIFF.
All 1st Place films will be eligible for a special screening at the 2008 RIIFF.
All URI undergraduates who are currently enrolled for 2007/2008 are eligible to enter the Festival.
