Prostitution
The majority of children in prostitution in
Tanzania are there to support themselves and their families. Girls as young as nine are in
prostitution. There are at least 800 children in prostitution in Arusha, Dar es Salaam and
Singida, Tanzania alone. Sex tourists are increasingly seeking children in these regions.
