Recognizing that many Rhetoric & Composition graduates become administrators at some point, we are committed to providing every interested student with administrative responsibilities. Some of these positions are in lieu of classroom time; others are paid positions to supplement your TA stipend.
Assistant Director of Writing & Rhetoric = works closely with the Department Head
Assistant Director of the Writing Center = works closely with the Writing Center Director
Undergraduate Writing Consultant Coordinator = helps run the WAC teaching and research activities across campus
Archives Assistant = manages the documents portion of the National Archives of Composition & Rhetoric
Technology Assistant = helps coordinate support for our technology classrooms and our Writing Rhode Island Production Lab
Assessment Assistant = works closely with faculty on yearly assessment initiatives
All seniors in the Writing & Rhetoric major complete an electronic portfolio through our capstone course, WRT 495. The Spring 2009 class, consisting of Sam Fuller, Jessica Notardonato, Samantha Notardonato, Rob Petrin, Tatiana M. Uhoch, and Emily Weintraub, marked the second year for graduating our pioneer Writing & Rhetoric majors.
