and you might win an iPad mini, too!
What is NSSE? The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is a survey given to students in college and universities across the nation asking them to respond to a series of questions about their educational experiences. More than 362,000 students nationwide completed NSSE in Spring 2010.
Why does URI participate? URI has made NSSE an institutional priority because the student responses are used by faculty and administrators to improve the educational experiences of URI students. By understanding what students feel they have gained from their college education, we can pinpoint and address areas that need improvement, both in and out of the classroom.
Who takes the survey? All freshmen and seniors at URI will be invited to participate in NSSE via an email inviation from President Dooley beginning on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. The survey will be available throughout the spring, and will close on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
When/how can you take the survey? The survey, which should take 15 minutes, is online and the email invitation and reminders to freshman and seniors will contain a link to the survey.
How can I win an iPad mini? By completing the survey, you will be automatically entered into a drawing to win 1 of 4 iPad minis! Winners* will be announced on May 10th.
(*Chances of winning an iPad mini are approximately 1/288 based on previous responding rates.)
