Student Learning Assessment Showcase (5/2/12):
An assessment showcase was hosted for faculty presenters, all recipients of a Davis Educational Foundation undergraduate assessment mini-grant last spring, to highlight their assessment work funded by the grant. This showcase was well attended by faculty, administrators, and students from across the campus. Every pesentation exemplified the hard work and dedication of faculty who are using evidence from programmatic assessment to improve student learning. All presentations can be found here.
Graduate programs join the University-wide two-year assessment reporting cycle:
Program-level learning outcomes assessment at URI is entering a new phase as we incorporate graduate programs into a routine cycle of student learning outcomes assessment. Undergraduate programs have been reporting on learning outcomes since 2006. Each program has received their assessment reporting schedule which is based on two cohorts and a staggered two-year reporting cycle, with a mix of graduate and undergraduate programs in each cohort.
2011-2012 Assessment Reporting Update: Undergraduate and First Professional Degree programs are concluding their third round of assessment reporting. SLOAA, in conjunction with the Learning Outcomes Oversight Committee (LOOC), is in the process of reviewing assessment reports to provide individual feedback to programs.
