The Plan for Information Literacy at the University
of Rhode Island was developed in 2000 by the University
Libraries. The Plan is an incremental, multi-year
plan was developed that addresses the information
literacy needs of all university students and faculty.
Consult this plan to help establish and develop
student information literacy outcomes for students
and faculty in your college or program. For assistance

Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education Mandate
The mission of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education is to provide an excellent, efficient, accessible and affordable system of higher education designed to improve the overall educational attainment of Rhode Islanders and thereby enrich the intellectual, economic, social and cultural life of the state, its residents, and its communities.
RIBGHE's division of Academic and Student Affairs has included student learning outcomes assessment in its mission and functions.
RIBGHE WebsiteAt the 2004 AAC&U Assessment Forum in Salt Lake City, Utah, a team of University of Rhode Island faculty and staff drafted an action plan for student learning outcomes assessment at the University of Rhode Island.
The University of Rhode Island Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Timeline was developed as part of the mandate from the RIBGHE. The Timeline includes assessment plans for all URI programs.
