Communicative Disorders Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Depth and Application of Learning: students will be able to demonstrate
basic understanding of human communication processes
across the lifespan including their biological, neurological,
acoustic, psychological, developmental, linguistic
and cultural bases.
- Critical Inquiry: students will demonstrate the
ability to critically examine information from various
sources.
- Problem Solving: students will be able to identify
the nature of a communication problem.
- Communication: students will demonstrate appropriate
oral and written communication skills.
- Professional Development: students will demonstrate knowledge
of the ASHA Code of ethics.
- Ethics: students will apply ASHA Code of Ethics to solve
ethical dilemmas focused on a variety of situations
that may occur in the academic or clinical situation.
