COACHING STAFF
	Varsity coach Rick Gherst, a former coxswain at the University of Vermont is in his fourth year as the men's coach. He is responsible for coaching the varsity crew and collaborating with Novice Coach Michael Kerner in running the program.
	Novice Coach Michael Kerner is a veteran of our own program.  He is a former and rower and captain. He was also a silver medalist in the men's eight at the  Dad Vail Regatta in 1998. This is his fifth year on the URI coaching staff. Over the past four seasons he has coached his novice squads to medals in New England Championships, the Knecht Cup, A-10's, New England Fours Championships and a 4th place at Dad Vails.
