     4/20/'02 Alumni Day
The annual alumni was held with many alumni returning. For the first time in quite a few years there was enough alumni to fill not only one 8, but two. The two boats had a 1000m race in which one had a decisive victory, it was a quite interesting race. It was a great day had by all.
The latest edition to the URI men's fleet was christened. Last fall a new Vespoli Millennium was purchased, and it was named this spring at Alumni Day. Our new 8's name is the Donald C. Vibber, he is the grandfather of one of our current varsity rowers, Alan Vibber. We hope to continue to keep the best equipment for our rowers with the help of our alumni and friends.
Winter 2001
On Tuesday December 4th, Braindamage from FNX Radio 103.7 visited the team and participated in a practice for the a segment on the morning show called "Torture Tuesday." The file can be found on the homepage for downloading purposes.
Fall 2001
The fall racing season ended with a strong performance at the Head of the Fish in NY. The crew finished up its most successful fall campaign in years. Hopefully the rowers will be able to carry  this success over to the spring. They will be on the water for a few more weeks and then land training begins.
