Skiing
The University of Rhode Island Ski team competes in the McBrine Division of the US Collegiate Snowsport Association (USCSA) and holds a one-week training camp during Christmas Break. The ski season begins in early January and extends for 5 weeks through February at sites, such as Smugglers Notch and Ascutney. Time trials are held regularly to determine racing assignments from race to race. The team competes against several other schools from the New England area, performs well in the division, and regularly makes it to Regionals.
