Pool will be OPEN for the Summer: The URI Tootell Aquatic Center will be open for the summer beginning Monday, May 19th - Friday, August 1st, 2008. Please check out our Pool Hours below for Pool Pass prices.

2008 Rhody Gladiator: Recreational Services favorite special event is BACK! Do you think you're tough enough? Coming this Fall '08. For more information, please contact URI Fitness & Wellness Office at 874-2822.
2008 Spring Break Challenge: Starting February 4th, you have 6 weeks to show us that you are a true fitness-aholic. Our staff is challenging you to complete 25 workouts in the fitness center or with the group fitness staff by March 14th, 2008, see below for challenge rules and regulations.
Thursday, December 13th: The Recreational Complex will at 5:00pm due to inclement weather. Revised facility hours will resume on Friday, December 14th from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Please call the Rec Services Hotlines for facility updates.

Leticia DaSilva has been hired as the new Coordinator of Fitness & Wellness for Recreational Services. She is replacing Jay Souza who took a position with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Leticia is coming to us from The Health Fitness Corporation in Connecticut and is looking forward to joining the Recreational Services staff.
Ted Boyett, Coordinator of Aquatics will be spending this school year in Greece working at the American College of Greece. While his stay in Greece, Ted will help redesign their credit and non-credit physical education program; design their aquatic programs; train staff and help renovate their aquatic facility. He will be returning to URI Recreational Services in September 2008.
Chad Gouin, Coordinator of Intramural Sports was hired at the end of April 2007. Chad previously worked at the University of Toledo and is looking forward to having the students return and for the Intramural program to begin this fall.
