Budget Requests

Budget requests are submitted for the upcoming fiscal year each August of the current fiscal year. An example timeline for the FY2008 budget request is as follows:

  • August 2006 - Request submitted to the Office of Higher Education
  • September 2006 - Board of Governor's for Higher Education reviews the budget request and submits to the State Budget Office
  • February 2007 - Governor's recommendations for the FY08 Budget are sent to the General Assembly
  • June 2007 - General Assembly enacts a final FY08 Budget
