Are you intimidated by your garden? Do you want to create a garden landscape but don't know where to begin? The URI Cooperative Extension and Education Center would like to help you. With the summer just about over we are excited to announce the Greenshare Field Day of 2003 on September 20th in the URI Learning Landscape Gardens.

The theme this year is Garden Transformations. In this segment of the Plant Pro you were introduced to Frank Crandall, keynote speaker for the Greenshare Field Day. Frank is the owner of Wood River Evergreens and an award winning landscape contractor .At the Field Day, Frank and his team will present a workshop called "Creating Your Dream Landscape: Step by Step.

Included in this workshop, which will take place from 10am-Noon, is the importance of planning and landscape design, plant selection, landscape and lawn installation and how to light up your landscape. Whether you need low maintenance plants, lawn renovation ideas or irrigation techniques, this workshop will help you meet your garden goals. The workshop will also include tips on pruning, feeding, mulching, and disease control so you can have the most beautiful yard possible.

Please join us on Saturday, September 20th for the Greenshare Field Day to learn more about Garden Transformations!! Workshops will also be held on perennial borders, roses, hydrangeas, and more! Note the raindate is Sunday, September 21st.
