Mercury - the 1^st Planet

Mercury - a hot (very, very, hot), barren (ain't nobody living there), rocky (a really hard, crusty sort of planet), little (much smaller than Earth), cratered (really beat up by meteor impacts) world.  It's the closest planet to our sun; and, because of that you'd think it should be the hottest, but it's not - Venus - the 2nd planet from the sun, is hotter! Now that's weird! Of course you couldn't live on Mercury because you'd be toast in nanoseconds (very fast)!  So, you might be better off if you visit ole' Mercury from a distance and do the hands-on exploring on some other more hospitable world.
