Uranus - the 7th Planet

The planet Uranus, and it's system of moons are
very hard to photograph because they are so far away.

How far are they? Well, about 2,867,000,000 km from our Sun - whew!

As a matter of fact, if the Voyager2 Spacecraft
did not observe the Uranian system on its trek through our solar
system in 1986, we would have precious few.

Both pictures above are an artists rendition of Uranus and some moons.

Shepherding Moons - believed to be keeping the rings of Uranus in place.
