contains documentation of the MANAGE method including an outline
of the
MANAGE aml and documentation of all
reference
factors utilized in the MANAGE method.

The files available for
download
below are intended to support the use of the MANAGE method. They
provide data necessary to create standardized maps. For additional
information on the MANAGE method visit our pollution assessment
webpage (link).

Soil Codes (dbf)
Meta Data (txt) |
This
file along with the "Soils Characteristics (layer)" allow
a GIS technician to create a map based on the intersection
of soils and watertable depth. An example of the type of
map that
can
be produced
is to the left.
If you
have run the MANAGE aml on your data then you do not need
this file because the data will have been appended to your
data set already. If you have
not
run
the
MANAGE aml
you
will
need this file.
The
dbf file contains the Seasonal High Water Table (SHWT)
code information used in the MANAGE analysis. Join it to
your data and then using the layer file below "Soils Characteristics
(layer)" will allow you to create the map on the left.
More
information on how to use this file is in the associated
Meta Data (txt) and on page 10 of the MANAGE technical
documentation. |

Soil Characteristics (layer)
MetaData (txt) |
This
file provides a standard color palette (legend) for color
coding watertable and Seasonal High Water Table (SHWT)
data.
The legend presented here is generally used in the MANAGE
analysis.
The
file can be used directly if you have run the MANAGE aml.
If you have not, then you must download the "Soil Codes
(dbf)" file and join this data to yours before using the
"Soil Characteristics (layer)" file.
Further
information on how to utilize this file is found in the
MetaData as well as on page 10 of the MANAGE Technical
Documenation.

Landuse (layer)
MetaData (txt) |
This
file allows the user to create a land use map using a standard
color pallette (legend). The legend presented here is generally
used in the MANAGE analysis.
Further
information on how to utilize this file is found in the
MetaData as well as on page 8 of the MANAGE Technical Documentation.
