Source Water Assessments

Assessment results were completed in 2003 for major water suppliers, and are available as full reports, summary fact sheets, and maps. These assessments focus on the drinking water supply watersheds and groundwater recharge areas where "source water" from streams, lakes, and interconnected underground aquifers recharge water supply wells and replenish water supply reservoirs. In many cases, the water service area is not the same as the source water area where the water comes. To find out where your water comes from or to obtain assessment results for all small public water suppliers not included in this list, go to the RI HEALTH website.

A list of the types of maps available for each water supply area are listed below. These are available in two forms: 1) letter-size maps in jpg format provide a preview of large format maps and can be printed or used in reports. 2) High resolution pdf format maps can be downloaded and printed at the sizes specified in the document properties.
