Welcome to the Alumni News Webpage of the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. This site is designed to allow former students to locate old friends, and for prospective students to gain insight into the varied careers (not always biological!) of our graduates. The Department of Biological Sciences was formed in 1995 by a merger of the Botany and Zoology departments. The degrees offered have included B.A. and B.S. Biology, B.S. Biological Sciences, B.S. Botany, B.S. Environmental Plant Biology, B.S. Marine Biology, B.S. Zoology, M.S. Biological Sciences, M.S. Botany, M.S. Zoology, and Ph.D. Biological Sciences. Students are listed chronologically under ãUndergraduate Degree Program Alumniä or ãGraduate Degree Program Alumniä (with date information was submitted); students with more than one degree from URI are listed under the highest URI degree earned within the Department.
