Curriculum in Biology B.S

CORE REQUIREMENTS:
You must take all of the following introductory courses:

Physics:
- General Physics I and II with lab (PHY 111, 112; 185, 186)
Language:
- Modern language through intermediate level (104)
OR
- 6 credits in one language (note that study abroad and culture clusters do not fulfill this requirement)
Students must take 3 biology laboratory courses in addition to BIO 101, BIO 102 excluding BIO 491, 492, and 495. No more than 3 credits of Research/Special Problems (491, 492, 495) may be used towards the major.
130 credits are required for graduation. A total of 35 credits in BIO courses are required.
Minor in Biology
Requirements: Students who declare Biology as a minor must take BIO 101, BIO 102, and MIC 211 or MIC 201. The remaining courses may be selected from BCH 311 and any BIO or MIC course. At least 18-20 credits are required, and at least 12 of the 20 credits must be taken at the 200 level or above. Other general requirements for the minor are as specified in the University catalog.
