Dr. Bullock's research focuses on marine invertebrates, especially the biology of the Mollusca. Ongoing investigations in his laboratory include: (1) the systematics of Caribbean Polyplacophora (chitons), (2) the ontogeny and functional morphology of the polyplacophoran radula, (3) the distribution of mollusks associated with marine algal substrata of rocky shores, and (4) the marine Mollusca of New England. Much of his recent work has centered on the chiton fauna and algal-associated mollusks of the islands along the continental margin of Venezuela. Graduate students in Dr. Bullock's laboratory pursue various studies on the ecology, reproductive biology, functional morphology, or systematics of marine mollusks and other invertebrates.
