URI Coastal Fellow - Developing methods for the restoration of endangered Caribbean corals (w/ Dr. Forrester) (Ananda Fraser)
URI Coastal Fellow - Eelgrass and scallop restoration (w/ Save the Bay) (Stephanie Gildea) - "working at Save the Bay with the habitat restoration department. Our main focus is harvesting eelgrass from healthy donor sites and transplanting it to other places in Narragansett bay. We also have been working to restore the scallop population and salt marsh monitoring/restoration. It's a lot of fun, but also hard work (a lot of physical labor as well as working and scuba diving in less than perfect weather conditions)."
URI Coastal Fellow - Invasive species early detection, rapid response and outreach (w/ RI Natural History Survey) (Ryan Kleinert)
URI Coastal Fellow - Ontogeny of foraging behavior in spiny dogfish (w/ Dr. Wilga) (Amy Maynard)

URI Coastal Fellow - Ontogeny of foraging behavior in spiny dogfish (w/ Dr. Wilga) (Ashley Stoehr)
URI Coastal Fellow - Examining the impact of invertebrate herbivores on macroalgal blooms in Greenwich Bay, RI (w/ Dr. Thornber) (Emily Vincent)
URI Coastal Fellow - RI Watershed Watch - I will be analyzing water samples collected from watersheds around RI for dissolved oxygen, pH, and chlorophyll (to determine algae levels) to understand the general health of the water bodies in RI. (w/ Dr. Green) (Amanda Ziegler)
URI Coastal Fellow, GSO with Leslie Smith (Candace Oviatt's Lab). Water column metabolism, running samples, field work, etc. AND Coastal Fellow working with Leanna Heffner (Scott Nixon's Lab) - Classifying Narragansett Bay salt marshes (Ashley Bertrand)
NSF- REU Intern, Rutgers University, Marine Science Field Station, Tuckerton, NJ. I will design and complete an independent research project on summer flounder bycatch mortality or the use of AUV for tracking fish species. (Callie Crawford)

Intern, Animal Care, Jenkinson's Aquarium (NJ) - "Animal care interns will be required to work with and care for the various animals in the aquarium. Maintenance, husbandry and care for many of the resident animals is expected. Helping prepare the food for the animals and helping the aquarists with water changes and water quality is required" (Kerianne Taylor)
Intern, Animal Husbandry, Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA - I will be caring for a variety of animals (from Aplysia to zebrafish) and gain valuable knowledge of animal husbandry, water quality monitoring and management of various culture systems. I will also be doing independent research projects aimed at improving animal culture and care. (Melissa Genazzio)
Intern, Great Pond Foundation, Martha's Vineyard - I will be participating in a project to bring back the oyster population the Great Pond in Martha's Vineyard. I will be doing constant water quality testing and other projects. (Dave Vendettuoli)

Laboratory Technician, Florida State University, Coastal & Marine Laboratory - I will be cultivating stands of Spartina in a greenhouse for future experiments on genetic diversity, as well as surveying local seagrass beds in order to get several different projects off the ground. (Emily Field, who will start her Ph.D. work at Florida State in the Fall.)
Marine Animal Discovery Center Team Member, National Marine Life Center, Buzzards Bay, MA - I will be educating the public about marine animals of cape cod and of general information about the ocean. (Jacqueline Niles).

(Kendalyn Eldredge)
"Last summer I started as an intern at NUWC in the Environmental Division, which I found out about through the job offers/newsletters you send out. I have enjoyed my time here, hence why I have decided to continue my career here upon graduation. The internship was a very rewarding experience, as you get to meet with many other marine scientists who are able to give great insight and guidance for future careers within the navy as well as graduate schools. It is a great working environment and has been an awesome experience over the past year. There are many opportunities here to climb the ladder quickly, which in this economy is especially helpful. I would recommend the internship to any marine bio major, because even though it is not field work it has helped me with my studies this past year and has opened my eyes to a whole other aspect of marine biology."
