A Certified Coastal Invasive Manager (CCIM) is a green industry professional conducting work in the coastal zone who has completed the following:

  1. Two-day URI / CRMC Invasive Plant Management Certification Program (IPMCP);
  2. IPMCP examination;

Certification is granted for a two-year period. Recertification is required to maintain Certified Coastal Invasive Manager status, and can be earned by attending a URI Outreach Center Recertification training in July or January/February each year. It is the responsibility of the professional to maintain certification.

URI recommends that all green industry professionals conducting work in the coastal zone obtain a Pesticide Applicator License through DEM. Please click the link below for the 2010 Core Training schedule or contact Margaret at URI or Robin at DEM for more information.
