Distichlis spicata

Saltgrass

A low growing perennial grass which spreads by rhizomes. Grows in saline areas, brackish marshes, and salt flats. Important source of food for many types of wildlife. Full sun. Tolerates saturated soil, alkalinity, and salt. Native to RI. 5-6".
