Eragrostis spectabilis

Purple Lovegrass

Warm season perennial bunchgrass. Seed head is an open panicle up to 24 inches long, bright purple until maturity. Grows in small colonies from early spring into fall. Spreads by rhizomes. Full sun. Native to RI. 1-3' x 1-2'.
