Black Cherry

Large, fast-growing tree with pyramidal form. Dark green foliage in summer changing to yellow or red in fall. Bark is grey-black. Tiny white flowers in spring. Tiny edible fruits are black when ripe. Prefers deep moist fertile soil but will tolerate dry gravelly or sandy soil. Full sun. Native to RI. 50-60’ x 20-30’.
