Bristly Locust

Small spreading suckering shrub with long blue-green compound leaves. Rose to lavender colored flowers hang in 2-4” racemes in spring. Twigs and stems are covered with stiff bristly hairs. Tolerates poor dry soil, will stabilize steep or gravelly slopes. Native to Southern US. 6-10’ x 6-10’.
