Staghorn Sumac

Large open spreading shrub which spreads by root suckers. Compound leaves up to 2’ long are bright green above and whitish below, changing to yellow, orange, and scarlet in fall. Hairy red berries in densely packed pyramids ripen in fall and may persist until through winter. Native to RI. 15-25’ x 15-25’.
